Micro Finance plus (MFI+) is an information sharing platform that provides tools for the microfinance industry to protect their financial assets, whilst ensuring financial security for the un-banked poor. The system enhances microfinance agencies capacity in making effective loan decisions, efficient loan administration, manage asset security, and provide information for risk management to halt the emerging “loan shopping” phenomenon in the industry. The key features of MFI+ are the provision of a framework for data acquisition, and the offer of just-in-time analytics for decision making.
